Editing Services

Submit electronic copies in Microsoft Word.

All services include comments and explanations from the editor.

Fees are listed in U.S. dollars. Standard page (250 words) fees are charged per page. Projects that have less than standard pages (e.g. web content, marketing content) are charged per word.

Minimum charge is $25.

Fill out the form and send your project to receive an invoice. Editing will be completed upon receipt of payment through PayPal.

If you need a hard copy of your work edited, mailing costs will be in addition to the following electronic editing prices.
Proofreading
This involves correcting typos, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization errors in your project. Choose this service when your project is ready to publish or distribute.
$2.50 per page/$.01 per word
Line Editing/Copy Editing
In addition to proofreading services, this service addresses structural and continuity issues. This may include addressing word choice, cliché identification, inconsistencies, redundancies, and/or credibility issues in characters or situations. Choose this service to fine-tune your project and write a final draft.
$4 per page/$.02 per word
Comprehensive Editing or Rewriting
This is for projects that need a lot of work or need rewriting. In addition to proofreading and line editing/copy editing services, this involves critiques of elements such as style, plot, characterization, dialogue, clarity, and pacing. This service includes one-on-one coaching as needed or requested. Choose this if you are a beginning writer, are working in a new
genre, or are “stuck” in your project.
